Six tracks, six extractable moments from a single continuum with an uncertain beginning and end. In Interference Waves (ZABRA011), the Greek producer Daphne X places us in a subliminal ground, something like an underwater or uterine nature, a medium in which, we quote her, “there was no possibility of an 'I' detachable from its environment.” The sensorial prevails over the rational, the non-verbal over the verbal, in short, an hypothetical unmediated experience of pure continuity with the world gains consistency under the psychodynamics of sonic stimulation. When defining stylistic affinities, think of what is being done in labels such as West Mineral, Motion Ward or Experiences Ltd. - something still unnamed, but one of the most significant sound aesthetics of our post-Chain Reaction/Basic Channel times.
